The church expansion project 52,450 sq. ft. (1.2 Acres) 101,000 sq. ft. (2.3 Acres) Service Building Larger Church Church built 1988 Congregation was 40 families, church was built to fit 270 In 2016 we are 300 families Congregation growth… Newcomers New young families and new born New and returning members Limited space… Small worship area & limited # of parking spots Limited number of Sunday school Classrooms No gym or play areas for youth and kids No study rooms for students No meeting rooms for seniors and families No stage for church’s plays

Selecting Architecture Firm 6 Firms A Total of 6 proposals were received N45 firm scored the highest Interview questions, N45 addressed all N45 firm (St. George church) Very positive feedback about N45 from St. George board member Meeting with Hany Guirguis: N45 was great to deal with N45 had great respect for the Coptic architect N45 Budget was based on hourly rate N45 were very flexible for design changes No bidding was done to hire the contractor Problems in financing ( from RBC to Scotia to National Bank) Parking problem with the City, had to do variance application
