Instantly Connect with Student Understanding Socrative Instantly Connect with Student Understanding

What is it? http://www.socrative.com It is a free website/ app that you can use to create a variety of assessments to connect with your students' understanding You can create the content or find and use shared content There is a "new" paid feature called Pro, but its not necessary, just more features Any device can use this product: laptop, phone, tablet, smartboard, etc.

Why do I like it? Ease of use Instant feedback or grades depending on how you set up your assessments Make up tests are easier to administer Stored reports (no more lost papers) Using and editing tests is easy Student Log in is simple

How do I use it? Final Spelling Tests on Fridays: Students choose from a multiple choice list of words. Vocabulary Tests: Fill in the blank, multiple choice, etc. Retesting and read aloud tests: With other students taking the test on Socrative, I can read aloud the test to students who have this modification. Note: I plan to use this more with exit tickets and morning questions this coming year.

Okay, so now what? Well, I just created an account and "self-taught." If you want some tutorials here is a link. https://www.youtube.com/user/SocrativeVideos This channel on Youtube has How-To videos for all aspects of Socrative.
