Nouns A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea. Nouns are the subject of a sentence.

2 types of nouns: Common Noun- A noun that does not name a specific person, place or thing. (always lowercase) Proper Noun- A noun that names a specific person, place or thing (always Uppercase)

1. The students in Mr. Faulkner’s class are working on grammar. In the following sentences, write down all the nouns. Then, identify them as common nouns (C) or proper nouns (Pr). 1.
