User Permissions All UDOs are secured from users by default. To gain access at all, a security record will need to be created on the Security Workbench. Feature Security Enable each UDO type Action Security To grant access for the user to create, publish and modify. View Ability to see a specific UDO Content Only for CafeOne and Page Composer

Securing UDOs All UDO security is done conveniently in EnterpriseOne Security Workbench.

UDO Icons This is a description of the icons and what functionality they provide: Save – Click this icon to save the UDO you created. Save As – Click this icon to save a UDO that you have changed so that it has a different name. Request to Publish – Click this icon to request to share a UDO. An approver then reviews it and can approve it to be shared with other users. Reserve – Click this icon to reserve an existing UDO to which you want to make changes. Reserving it ensures that no one else can edit it while you make your changes. You then resubmit the UDO, with your changes, for approval. Delete – Click this icon to delete the UDO from your own list of UDOs. This does not delete it from other users’ ability to view it.

UDO Statuses for end users This menu shows how UDOs are categorized according to their statuses. Personal – UDOs personally created, but have not Requested to Publish. Pending Approval – UDOs created and have Requested to Publish. Rework – UDOs Requested to Publish, but have been rejected by the approver. Reserved – UDOs shared, but have been reserved to make changes. Once reserved, no other user can make changes to those UDOs. Shared – Shared UDOs available to other users/roles.

Impact of How UDOs are Stored With the introduction of User Defined Objects it is recommended to promote UDOs from one environment to another environment using P98220W OMW Web by adding the UDOS to a project. Copy UDO tables is not recommended due to dependencies with the system tables.
