2 juveniles face arson charges

Two juveniles face charges of arson in connection with a deadly Tennessee wildfire that began in late November. The state is considering additional charges, including the possibility of seeking a transfer to adult criminal court. The youths are from Tennessee where the fires started. Neither their ages nor genders were released. Fourteen people lost their lives in the fires and more than 175 more were injured, according to officials. The fire destroyed more than 17,000 acres and 2,460 structures. Recent heavy rains helped extinguish much of the fire. As of Wednesday, the fire was 82% contained.

In Other News A federal judge has ordered Michigan's Board of Elections to stop the state's electoral recount. This latest decision effectively denies Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein's request to block the Board of Elections from halting the recount. The court concluded Stein was not an aggrieved party since she had no reasonable chance of winning by virtue of the recount.
