Welcome Message Please take a moment to read the life skills that are posted around the perimeter of the auditorium and read RMS’s Mission Statement. It is the mission of the Ridley School District to create a caring environment that gives all students the opportunity to achieve their fullest personal and academic potential in order to become productive and responsible citizens.

Team Structure Each grade has two teams with an average 6th Grade White or Green Teams include: 2 L.A. Teachers 2 Math Teachers 1 Social Studies Teacher 1 Science Teacher 1 Learning Support Teacher Equal distribution of student ability There are also 4 split team teachers at each grade level Each grade has two teams with an average Of 200 - 225 students. Sample Bell Schedule New for 17/18 Dismissal @ 2:49, (IE) Individual Enrichment, and non rotating schedule (1st – 8th daily)
6th Grade Specials Foreign Language - students will participate in an introduction to German Language and cultures. (2.5 blocks 1 trimester) Strategies - students learn about stress management, conflict resolution, and diversity and tolerance. (2.5 blocks 1 trimester) Tech Literacy – students will learn keyboarding and basic computer program skills. (2.5 blocks 1 trimester) Art - 1.5 blocks for 1 trimester Health – 1.5 blocks for 1 trimester General Music – 1.5 blocks for 1 trimester Physical Education – Once a week for a full year
PowerSchool Online grading site View progress reports and report cards View your child’s grades for each class and assignment Updated at least every 2 weeks Communicate with teachers through e-mail Will be given a username and password

RMS Transition Camp 3 day camp for incoming 6th grade students Students learn about lockers, schedules, tour the building and much more! Parents are invited the last day for a BBQ and question and answer session $30 per student to attend all three days Dates for the camp are Aug 8,9, & 10
