Testimony of divine healing by faith and in the name of Jesus

From sickness to healing

Matthew 8:1-3 “When Jesus had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him; and there was a leper who came to him and knelt before him, saying, ‘Lord, if you choose, you can make me clean.’ He stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, ‘I do choose. Be made clean!’ Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”

An Incurable Condition Leprosy was a disease that literally ate away the body. It usually started in the hands and feet. In modern times it is completely treatable but in Jesus’ time it was incurable.

An Incurable Condition Not only this but lepers were “unclean” according to Jewish Law, they could not enter the temple and offer sacrifices. This tells us that their relationship with God was cut off.

Diseases This is what diseases cause. They not only affect our bodies but also harm our relationship with God. They take away from our time and/or strength. Sickness doesn’t have to be just physical, there is also mental and emotional sickness.

Today: Jesus stands here in this place as our healer. Diseases Today: Jesus stands here in this place as our healer.

The Leper The leper may have had doubt. Beyond whatever he felt or desired he referred to Jesus correctly as “Lord”. This is faith.

The Leper To come out to the crowds he must have hidden his condition. This man had to reveal his disease to Jesus. All that is hidden must come into the light.

The Leper The leper respects Jesus and whatever he decides, he says: “if you choose.”

Jesus desires our Healing In Jesus’ words we find that God desires to really heal us: “I DO CHOOSE.”

Jesus desires our Healing God’s will is our healing. In repeated occasions we read how Jesus heals time and time again. In the Old Testament this happened ever so often but in Jesus healing miracles occur constantly. Today, God can heal you!

Isaiah 53:4-5 “Surely he has borne our infirmities and carried our diseases; yet we accounted him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed.”

There is HEALING IN THE NAME OF JESUS God can heal all. In the Gospels he heals incurable diseases quite often. For healing to take place you need faith and the name of Jesus.
