Netted Stinkhorn Fungus Phallus impudicus var togatus Only 38 on database Only 1 recorded in Whippendell Woods, Hertfordshire was in 1966 Credited as being discovered by mycologist Michael Valentine. First seen at Moor Piece woodland near Bashall. Our specimen was discovered by Maurice Pledger. Confirmed identification by Dr A Martyn Ainsworth mycologist at Kew Garden, who has requested our specimen is dried and sent to them. Maurice has sent specimen to them.
