Odoo 10 Attendance Kiosk Mode

INTRODUCTION A beautiful and relevant feature which describes how Odoo is more ease to use and how they considered to make more user friendly options. Well here we are discussing about and let's see the overall working of kiosk mode. This is mainly deals with the user’s attendance and let’s check the attendance marking using the badges, manually and yes by using the pin. First of all don't forget to install Attendances module from the Odoo apps

Using with Badges  We can make the attendance entry using the employee badges. So we have to use an equipment scanner to fetch the unique id and id can be set on employees form under HR Settings.

 Here we just scanned the badge to get the unique id:

 The employee form should fill with the id like

 Here the barcode id is CYBROSYS now. This get saved and can be used for logging attendance.  Let's enter into the kiosk mode to know what happening next. You can see a menu under Manage Attendance -> Kiosk Mode.

 You can select an employee manually or simply scan your badge

Manual By selecting Employee  We can also use the kiosk mode to enable the manual attendance logging by selecting the employee. Here to enable the privacy and misuse of loggings Odoo has the feature to authentication by unique pin. This has to be enabled extra under Attendance -> Configurations.

 Let’s try to log attendance manually in kiosk mode

Click on select Employee Button. It will show the employees in a form.

Select the proper employee.

Which gives the interface to manually enter the pin, which we already set on employee form. The valid response will like

A good feature for Odoo to make the employee Attendance logs much easier and this will update the backend entries as
