Rubric Each project has at least one STEM rubric. Rubrics will be provided to students and on NetSchool. All rubrics will have 4 columns: Emerging Proficient Commended Breakthrough

Mutual Responsibility The entire project is the responsibility of the entire team! “My part” or “your part” doesn’t exist! Example: John completed the Google Sketch-up for his team. BUT his entire team is responsible for checking John’s work and ensuring it is accurate.

General STEM Information

Work Ethic Demonstrates an understanding of the importance of work Proper use of work time Commitment to high quality work Prepared for class each day Focused during class Two summative grades each six weeks. Same rubric used by each facilitator.

Grading: Team vs. Individual No more than 50% of the six weeks grade will be based on TEAM assignments/projects. Grade book will show the difference: Science Quiz (Indiv.) Project Presentation (Team) Work Ethic (Indiv.)

Professional Dress STEM students will be required to dress appropriately for presentations and events. Two types of dress: Business Professional: Suit/Tie Dark Colored Skirt or Slacks/Dressy blouse *NO tan or khaki pants/skirts *Dresses/skirts should be knee length Business Casual: Khaki pants/Collared shirt Skirt or Slacks/Blouse Shoes, hair and accessories are important, too! If it is fashionable, it is probably NOT professional!
