Mesopotamia was the First to Create: Sail boat Plow Wheel

Firsts… The first written story featuring Gilgamesh, a make believe character. Calendar Time intervals using the number 60. Example: 60 seconds in a minute and 60 minutes in an hour.

Cuneiform Was the first written language Originated in the city-state of Sumer located in southern Mesopotamia Symbols or pictures make up the language that represents words, thoughts, and ideas. Writing developed so people could keep track of business deals. Over one million signs make up the language.
