Animated Weather on Personal Digital Assitants CIMSS, through its base funding, is supporting the development of a system for distributing NOAA products for display on Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). The PDA Animated Weather (PAW) website contains real-time products designed specifically for display on handheld devices with wireless communication capabilities. Future products will include numerical model based synthetic forecast radar and cloud image animations, near real-time precipitation totals and GOES-based wildfire identification and coverage. Data are available at http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/data/paw. (Russ Dengel, CIMSS)
