Web Authoring Tools for Prezi Icon of Web Authoring Tool Significance in Design Process 1. Writing Titles This is essential because students will to develop a creating title for their presentation on their assigned Revolution. They may also need title to identify different parts of their presentation such as timeline, major events, or key people. 2. Color and Fonts with Theme Options This tool will be important to the design process because the design will set the tone of the presentation and using good web design will make the Prezi viewable and engaging for the audience. 3. Insert Images This is key to the creation of the Prezi because students will need to include a minimum of 5 visuals (maps, artwork, political cartoon, etc.) to illustrate the cause, effects, & key places, people, or events of the war.

4. Zoom Feature This tool allows students to zoom-in or zoom-out of the Prezi which is necessary to allow them to appropriate space all components of the presentation & gives students an idea of the space available for use. 5. Saving Selecting this option will allow students to save their work on the website continuously, which is important because sometimes the lap top computers shut off and students can lose work if they aren’t saving often. Inserting You Tube Videos This is important for the presentation because students need to insert short video clips to the Prezi that will enhance the audience’s understanding of the revolution they are teaching about. 7. Enlarging/Shrinking or Animating Text This tool is chief to the excellent design because it allows students to make their text an appropriate size and animation to emphasize the titles significance in the production.

8. Inserting Hyperlinks This tool is required in the project procedure because the student rubric states that students will need to include at least two educational tools to provide the viewers with more information on the revolution they present. 9. Path The Path instrument is central to the development of the Prezi because this tool generates the order in which each multimedia component of the Prezi will be viewed. 10. Show This device allows one to preview their Prezi as the audience will see it, which ultimately is necessary to find any errors that need correction.
