Presentation transcript:

The Complete Duden Dictionary and Thesarus Death interjects the story with the definitions of eight words. Why does he choose these eight words? What do the definitions have to do with the stories around them?

Your Turn Choose five words that apply to your life in this moment AND three of the 8 words that Death defines. Write the dictionary definition of each word and then write a few sentences about why that word applies to your own life. You should have 8 words total. Words: happiness, forgiveness, fear, word, opportunity, misery, silence, and regret.

For Example: Anticipation: the act of anticipating; expectation or hope. I am waiting in anticipation of spring break, because I am going camping with my friends. We didn’t go camping at all last year, which is unusual for us, so I’m excited to go during spring break.
