WHAT IS STEM SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING MATH
WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Stem refers to a focus on 21st century academic and career ready skills that colleges and employers are demanding from students. STEM educated students are more desirable to both universities as well as employers. Students enrolled in STEM focused programs have a greater emphasis on Math, Science and applied technologies.
WHAT THE ACADEMY? The Ag Engineering Academy (AEA) addresses the critical achievement gap in STEM (Science, Technology Engineering & Math) fields and develops a pipeline of students prepared to pursue Engineering based degrees and professions. The Academy of Ag Engineering is a partner with The STEM Academy, a leader in STEM and Engineering Curriculum in the United States. In addition, the Ag Engineering Academy has strong partnerships with local engineering firms, governmental agencies and agricultural equipment companies.

Extra Curricular Participation All AEA students will be members of the GWHS FFA (Future Farmers of America) Chapter All AEA Students will be expected to participate in FFA activities including projects and competitions Students may participate in sports programs with an understanding of the time commitment.
