A 35 years old male patient was admitted for diarrhoea in K. I. M A 35 years old male patient was admitted for diarrhoea in K.I.M.S hospital, Narketpally. Stool examination was asked for the pathogenic findings. Stool examination revealed following findings
Oocysts of Isospora were seen in stool wet mont Modified acid fast staining was done with 1% H2SO4

ACID FAST BACILLI
History : Patient was on ATT since 2 months for pulmonary tuberculosis Acid fast staining for urine sample was done and acid fast bacilli were seen
Presence of opportunistic infections arose suspicion of AIDS Test for HIV antibodies was done and confirmed with the second test . Before the CD4 count was done. Patient died. His wife was counseled and screened for HIV . Test was positive and confirmed by second test. CD4 count 120 cells /cmm. FURTHER HELP IS ISTITUTED BY ICTC CENTRE
CONCLUSION SUSPICION OF AIDS BASED ON OPPORTUNISTIC INFECTIONS HELPS IN SCRRENING OF RISK GROUP WHICH MAY HELP IN EARLY DETECTIN OF AIDS CASES NECESSARY MANAGEMENT CAN BE DONE
