Patient transactions are posted to a day sheet: Day sheets should be balanced at the end of each day. Credit Balances Overpayment of the amount due on an account will result in a credit balance. Credit balances should be refunded to the patient. Checks Returned for Insufficient Funds (NSF) If required, written notification regarding the returned check should be given to the appropriate person.
