Heavenly citizenship in Philippians (review) Philippians 1:27, “..conduct yourselves..” Gk politeuōmai conduct yourselves - politeuma - to live or conduct yourself as a citizen (politēs) (Wuest) --- see to it that you recognize your responsibility as citizens (of heaven) Philippians 3:20, “..citizenship is in heaven..” Gk politeuma is - exits or has its fixed location from which (or out from where) also we eagerly wait (or expect eagerly) for a Savior
Heavenly citizenship in Ephesians Ephesians 1:19b-20 These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, Ephesians 2:4-6 But God, --- made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, What does it mean to be seated ? When were we “raised up” and “seated” with Christ ? What are two important aspects of our seating ?
