Acid Rain

Acid Rain Acid rain is due to the gases SO2 and NOx from burning fossil fuels. These gases dissolve in rainwater to form acid solutions. Acid rain: Damages delicate root hair cells, so plants can’t take up minerals and therefore die. Kills small aquatic animals, which affects animals further up the food chain Erodes limestone rocks and buildings
