Applying To College College Entrance Exams Application Scholarships Applying to college is more than just an application. College Entrance Exams Application Scholarships Financial Aid

These Tests Are Not Free SAT with writing (recommended) $57 www.sat.org/register ACT with writing (recommended) $58.50 www.actstudent.org Students that receive free or reduce lunch are eligible for fee waivers.

Why Should I Take the SAT/ACT? They are required for admissions to universities FSA concordant scores to receive your high school diploma To qualify for a Bright Futures Scholarship To avoid having to take remedial courses in college

Fee Waivers Two ACT Test Waivers Two SAT Test Waivers Students participating in the free or reduced lunch program can receive waivers to pay for tests and college applications: Two ACT Test Waivers Two SAT Test Waivers Two SAT Subject Test Waiver (if needed) Up to eight College Application Waivers (If you take both the SAT and the ACT tests). Fee waivers can ONLY be used for ON TIME REGISTRATION. ACT fee waivers cannot be used for late registrations.

What Are The Required Scores? Each college/university has their own admissions requirements based on test scores and GPA To be exempt from remedial courses you need: SAT - 490 Critical Reading 500 Math ACT – 17 - English 19 - Reading 19 - Math These test scores will probably NOT get you into a university Send your scores at time of registration or before scores come out

Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program provides scholarships based on high school academic achievement The Program offers three levels of scholarship awards – Florida Academic Scholars Florida Medallion Scholars Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars To be considered, a student must submit a completed Florida Financial Aid Application during the last year in high school (after October 1st and prior to graduation) Eligibility requirements can be viewed at: http://www.FloridaStudentFinancialAid.org/SSFAD/factsheets/BF.htm Award amounts can be viewed at: http://www.FloridaStudentFinancialAid.org/SSFAD/bf/awardamt.htm
