M.C. escher By: Mark Diso

About Him M.C. Escher was born in June 17, 1898 Leeuwarden, Netherlands. He is most famous for his mathematical based arts such as his wood cuts. He had traveled through Spain and Italy but loved the Italian countryside

His Works “Drawing Hands” “Relativity” “Waterfall”

His Art Style M.C. Escher’s art style is usually based off math and using forms of Tessellation in which creates more than one geometric shape. Also he creates these impossible constructs of infinity that create an illusion.

Homage

Reflection After researching M.C. Escher I have come to acknowledge how important math could be to making art. Though I enjoy looking at Escher’s art because of the illusions he creates in each work but what also fascinates me is the fact that he can apply the form of Tessellation with multiple figures such as horses and lizards in such an organized fashion.
