Benteen Elementary School Parents Tuesday, May 9, 2017 12noon or 5:00pm Bolton Academy Parents Wednesday, May 10, 2017 8:30am or 5:50pm **Parents only need to attend 1 session!** Parent Information: First grade students at Benteen ES and Bolton ES will receive a Kindle Fire to support reading skill remediation both inside and outside of the classroom. Students will have access to 16 amazing literacy apps as well as the ability to download eBooks. Teachers will be trained to teach students how to use apps for literacy remediation and advancement as well as how to download eBooks to be read at home over the summer. Students will take the devices home at the end of the school year and are expected to read and explore the preloaded apps! These devices will be for student use, however students will be required to bring them back to school in August 2017! Parents will need to attend an informational session to receive information about the device, how it will be used by their student(s), as well as to sign a parent/student contract in order for their student to receive the device. IF PARENTS DO NOT SIGN THE PARENT CONTRACT, THEIR STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BRING THE DEVICE HOME!
