Classroom Tips and Rules

Student Behaviors Be a positive participant Be productive Speak in a normal tone of voice, and listen attentively. Be productive Turn in work on time, and always do your best. Be a problem solver Correct problems quickly and peacefully before they escalate.

Show Respect Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and practice strong moral values. Honor the ideas and opinions of others.

Responsibility for Coursework Bring notebook, slides and appropriate writing tools to class. You should read Textbooks. Slides are never enough. Know due dates, and submit all coursework on time.

Grading Class participation (effort) Completion of assignments (daily work) Major projects, exams, and self-reflection First Exam 20% Second Exam 20% Reports, Projects 20% Final Exam 40%

Attendance Policy Absence from lectures and/or tutorials shall not exceed 15%.

Make-up Exams Make-up exams will be offered for valid reasons only with consent of the Dean. Make-up exams will be different from regular exams in content and format.
