What is SDA? Survey Documentation and Analysis Codebooks Statistical analysis Subsetting Web-based statistical software Developed at UC Berkeley http://sda.berkeley.edu No variable searching across data sets (but can search within a data set

UT/DLS: Microdata Analysis & Subsetting University of Toronto Data Library Service Licences SDA, loads DLI data sets and codebooks into it, and runs it on the CHASS server. DLI institutions can subscribe to the UT/DLS service For VIU, this service makes DLI data more accessible and easier for undergraduates to work with Laine Ruus updates the data and announces additions and changes at http://blogs.chass.utoronto.ca/datalib/ $350/year for CHASS CANSIM subscribers (unlimited SUs) Considering opening subscriptions to non-CHASS CANSIM subscribers for $700 per year

Frequency Distribution Exercise Using the General Social Survey, Cycle 17: Social Engagement (2003), find frequency distributions for the variable acmyr for men and women between the ages of 25 and 64 inclusive, with partners.

Cross Tabulation Exercises Use data from the Aboriginal Peoples Survey 2001: Adults Off Reserve to examine the relationship between urban/rural geography and ability to speak primary Aboriginal languages. Use the 2007 Labour Force Survey to look at whether men between the ages of 25-64 inclusive are more likely to work full time than women in the same age range. Does level of education affect the use of the Internet to pay bills for persons between 35 and 44 years of age, and do men differ from women in this regard? Use the Canadian Internet Use Survey to find out.

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me with some data. I am interested in the Survey of Household Spending, in particular, spending by age group over time. I am looking for the Canadian data in this chart: http://www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/75-001-x/2007109/c-g/4168846-eng.htm with some sort of breakdown between expenditures on goods vs. services. I checked the Cansim tables that go with this survey (203-0001 to 203-0020), but there doesn't seem to be any breakdown by age, just by province. Thank you very much!
