Confession Thanksgiving Adoration Intercession There are four main different reasons why people pray. Can you match the word up with its’ meaning? Thanksgiving ….admitting wrongdoings Confession … is speaking to God on someone else’s behalf, for either help or guidance. Adoration …is thanking God for his greatness and his power. Intercession …expresses a person’s thanks to God. EXT: Write a prayer to go with each reason. For example what would a prayer of thanksgiving include?

Homework: Due Tuesday. Choose one of the four reasons of why people pray and write your own prayer to God. Also, write out the ‘Our Father’ prayer in your book.
