Our Achievements Established our central office in Leicester to support members across England and Wales Developed our new website with the Design Council designed to engage the next generation of NHW Secured a National Database and Communication System using Neighbourhood Alert Delivered a number of training packages for grassroots members including older people and crime(Jan/Feb 2011), ICT support and peer visits to other NHW schemes. Secured a corporate sponsor to develop and deliver a Vocationally Recognised Qualification (VRQ) for community advocates aimed at NHW members and partners

Our Achievements continued Continued support for grassroots – Through revised toolkits, negotiated Public Liability Insurance from the Home Office for all schemes and secured further (limited) support from the Home Office to produce and distributed window stickers Shared good practice through the provision of case studies and consultation Developed a network of key partners including Age UK, Catch 22, Water UK, Crimestoppers and the Big Lunch.

Neighbourhood Watch Week 2011 Neighbourhood and Home Watch Week provides an opportunity for members to raise the profile of the movement amongst the local community, partners and the media. The eight day campaign runs from 18th to 26th June 2011 across England and Wales, empowering members to help bring their communities together to reduce crime and make their communities a better place to live. This year, the campaign will focus on three core strands; localism, the government’s ‘Big Society’ and digital engagement. Some Watch schemes may also choose to focus on localised issues in line with community needs.
