VolunTEEN Behavior While in the hospital: VolunTEENs must act in a professional manner during their volunteer time While in the hospital: Be sure stay together Stay at an appropriate volume level Speak with respect Elevator manors Eye contact and pay attention when others are speaking to you Being punctual Listen to Cayce (Intern) No chewing gum No phones unless you’re on your lunch break Conference room is “free” time, door closed
How to take care of yourself Put on an away message Ask for help Use an intern or a seasoned volunteer Do as many things in advance as you can T-shirts ordered, coffee vouchers printed, thank you cards ready, goody bags made, paperwork printed
