The New York Colony declared its independence on July 9th, 1776. It is estimated that approximately one-third of the battles of the American Revolution were fought on New York Colony soil. Most of their time was spent at working, although children played hand-held toys. Some games that children would play are tag, hide-and- seek, and hopscotch.
