Born and Studied She was born in 1867 in Poland. She studied physics and mathematis. She studied at the Sorbonne in Paris.

Marriage She married Pierre Curie in 1895. Together they discovered radium and polonium in 1906.

Family They had 2 babies Irene Joliot Curie and son Eve Curie.

Discovered Received Marie and Pierre discovered radium and polonium in 1898.

Received In 1903 the Curies received Nobel Prize for physics.

Death Pierre died in road accident in 1906. Marie continued their work on radium in 1911. She received the Nobel Prize for Chemistry. She died of leukaemia in 1934.
