We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic and diverse Finance team. Based in Sydney and reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you’ll step straight into a fact paced environment where you will provide a wide range of accounting support to the business. In this role you will work closely with the different stations in the business such as Nova, smoothFM, FIVEaa and StarFM. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to: Weekly cash flow reporting Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions Reconciliation of promotional budgets including working with key stakeholders Preparation of monthly BAS Maintenance of Fixed Assets Registers Ownership of a range of month end journals, accruals and reconciliations Information gathering for annual audit and external bodies as requested Manage petty cash Ideally, to be considered for this role, you will have the following experience and attributes: Be passionate about the radio and media industry Be working towards CPA or CA qualifications Previous experience as a Junior Accountant or Graduate Accountant Fluency in MS Office with intermediate capabilities in Excel The ability to plan, multitask and work to tight deadlines Ability to work effectively in a close team environment Degree qualification in Accounting or similar In turn NOVA Entertainment provides you with a fun and exciting culture to work in, reward and recognition and career development opportunities.
