Foreign vs. Domestic Policy

What is “policy”? Turn to you shoulder partner and discuss. A definite course or method of action selected from among alternatives and in light of given conditions to guide and determine present and future decisions b : a high-level overall plan embracing the general goals and acceptable procedures especially of a governmental body.

What is “domestic”? Turn to your shoulder partner and discuss. Of or relating to one’s own country.

What is “foreign”? Turn to your shoulder partner and discuss. Of or relating to another country or countries.

Putting it all together What is foreign policy? A plan of action for dealing/working with other countries. What is domestic policy? A plan for dealing with issues that affect people within the United States.
