Seth Holt Science period 2 Plutonium Plutonium a element used to create nuclear weapons, nuclear medicine ,and pacemakers. Hey I’m Seth and my element is Plutonium its very dangerous used in atomic bombs, and space vehicles as a source of power. Seth Holt Science period 2

Properties of the Element Plutonium is a rare earth metal its synthetic and has a density of 19.816 It is shiny, radioactive, and dangerous. Incredible reactive used in the heart of nuclear weapons. Very powerful and has a lot of energy. Density- 19.816 Reactivity- Highly reactive Group- Rare earth metals Actinide

Properties of the element When in metal form you can melt it if you heat it to 1184 f then it becomes a liquid and then if you heat it to 5842f it starts to boil and its in the crystalline monoclinic group. Melting point- 1184 f Boiling point- 5842 f State of mater- Metal Crystalline structure-monoclinic

History of Element Glenn Seaborg discovered it While working on neptunium In Berkley California In 1912 The element was discovered in 1912 when Glenn Seaborg took up the work of fellow scientists who were working on neptunium undergoing nuclear fission in a laboratory in Berkley California. And they discovered plutonium isotope 244.

How element is used Its used in nuclear medicine and medical devices like pacemakers Energy source Atomic study And unfortunately nuclear weapons It is used in nuclear medicine and is called Homeopathic plutonium. And is used as a energy source for space equipment. And it is also used in atomic studies on radioactive elements. And it is found in the heart of all atomic weapons because of its energy and destructive power.
