Jan Johnston, Pendleton County Schools Personnel Deadlines Jan Johnston, Pendleton County Schools

What’s the Big Deal? Asked for dates at the spur of the moment Only used “one-time” during the year Forgetful! Missing Dates can be very costly I couldn’t keep straight what had 30 days, 45 days and 90 days deadlines ……So I put together a document that had pertinent information at my fingertips

Types of Notices Included notices that may not have had a true deadline, but was a notice of some sort that I sent to our employees Expired certification notice Letters of intent/Rank Change Reasonable Assurances to substitutes Included deadlines from KRS and/or Board policy Evaluation deadlines Notice of reductions Deadlines for resignations Tried to make it all inclusive

Helpful Website Because there are so many different timeframes within KRS’, I needed something to help me count backwards from the “first attendance day” (using something automated made it quicker, too) Found this website: Calculator Soup http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/ time/date-day.php Actually have the website address and the location of where I keep the file in the Footer of my document for ease of use

Notice of Demotion of Certified Administrator KRS and Date for Notice (KRS 161.760) at least 90 days prior to the first student attendance day of the next school year, or May 15th, whichever occurs first (KRS 161.765) administrators with more than three consecutive years of administrative service may request a hearing before the board of education Pendleton Date for Notice Wednesday, May 10, 2017 since 1st student attendance day is 8/9/17 (used 91 days for calculation because of “at least”)
