Trócaire means ‘compassion’ It is a Catholic Agency It is a member of Caritas Internationalis Fedreation – a network of Catholic Relief and development agencies. It promotes human development, justice and gets its inspiration from the Gospel Values.

It was set up by the Irish Catholic Bishops in 1973. Today it helps people in developing countries who need aid. It helps people in Latin America, Asia, Middle East and Africa

It helps people regardless of race, religion and gender!
