Review! Answer the following questions in your notebook in full sentences You do not need to copy down the questions Why is the Neolithic Revolution considered a major turning point in history? How did the Neolithic Revolution lead to civilizations? Why could the Neolithic Revolution be considered positive and negative? What are the 8 features of civilization?

Theme A major turning point in history occurred as people of the world gave up nomadic existence and settled in geographically advanced areas to create the basis of the world’s first civilized societies. The development of city-states led to well defined social economic and political institutions. The civilizations of the ancient world have legacy contributions which still affect the modern world today.

Four Early River Valley Civilizations (~3000 BC) 3 people per group: Partner A – Geographical Factors Partner B – Accomplishments Partner C – Miscellaneous In your chart for each civilization: Describe the information of each category in your own words to the rest of your group. Explain what the legacy is for that category (Geographical Factors, Accomplishments, Miscellaneous)
