Department of International Relations Scope Manage inter-university agreements Facilitate staff mobility Promote student exchanges Participate in international organizations Disseminate information Host visitors Participate in international events Provide administrative support

Department of International Relations Μain aims of the agreements • Exchange of faculty members • Exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students • Development of research collaborations and projects • Organisation of teaching activities and lectures • Promotion of summer language and cultural courses

Department of European Educational Department of European Educational Programmes The Aims of the Department are two-fold: A) Aims regarding the infrastructure and the daily responsibilities and functions of the Department of the European Educational Programmes: Organization of operations and services. Formation of sub-committees for the better implementation of the programmes. Information/Promotion of the Department’s work outcomes Policy formation on European Educational Programmes.

B) Aims regarding the management of the current and future European Educational Programmes: Activation of all the involved parties to the programme for the more accurate realization of the Erasmus+ Actions. Promotion of the Erasmus+ International Programme. Correct application of the ECTS credit system by all the Departments of AUTh. Completion of the infrastructure by all the Departments of AUTh towards the issuance of the Diploma Supplement. Re-acquisition of the Diploma Supplement Label and the award of the ECTS label and the  

Μaintenance of transparency in all the selection procedures (point system). Εxpansion of the European dimension of the studies and the connection of Education to Traineeships and Research in a European level. Οrganisation of Courses in the English language to all the Departments of AUTh. Appropriate implementation of the new Erasmus+ Programme according to the commitments of AUTh as stated on the Institution’s Policy. Completion of the ISO 9001:2000 certification of the services provided by the DEEP.

Aula of the Faculty of Philosophy The Aula of the ancient building of the faculty of philosophy has been the first ceremony hall of the University. It is decorated with paintings of the former rectors of the university and honorary professors

Honorary doctorship award Last year Roberto Benini has been awarded the honorary doctorship of the School of Italia n Language and Literature. It has been a brilliant ceremony, during which Benini has performed as he is usually doing, in front of an enthusiastic audience that interrupted him several times with applauses and laughter. An exciting moment for all of us that have been there!
