Presentation transcript:

A Peek at This Week in… Ms. Bonick’s 4th Grade Reminders Math Reading Fri., Sept. 23 Reminders Math Students should be reading at home every night at least 20 minutes! We wrapped up Chapter 1 and began Chapter 2 this week! This week, students found sums and differences through mental math and estimation. Reading Students created “To Be Read” book lists to keep track of books they want to read in the future. They also saw how sensory details in books help us to create images in our mind while we read. We are still in need of glue sticks! We need A LOT! Keep ‘em coming!  Writing Students began writing realistic fiction stories. They learned two ways to come up with ideas. One, by thinking of moments from their own life and two, thinking of stories they would like to read! Upcoming Events Social Studies Students are beginning to identify the 5 major regions of the United States and describe the major landforms in each region . Thursday, September 29 is the Boosterthon Fun Run! Our donations this week put us at $47/lap as a class. Our goal is $80/lap! Let’s keep raising money!
