Using Base Ten Blocks to Make Numbers to 100 • I can make a number to 100 using base ten squares and dice. • I roll two - 10 sided dice.

Using Base Ten Blocks to Make Numbers to 100 • I rolled a 3 and a 9. • I print the 3 and 9 on the white board. • This makes number 39.

Using Base Ten Blocks to Make Numbers to 100 • The 3 in 39 is in the tens place. So 3 means 3 tens. • The 9 in 39 is in the ones place. So 9 means 9 ones.

Using Base Ten Blocks to Make Numbers to 100 • I made 3 tens and 9 ones with base ten blocks. • 3 in 39 means 3 tens.

Using Base Ten Blocks to Make Numbers to 100 • 9 in 39 means 9 ones. • All done!
