Article 1, Section 3 Senate Members elected every 6 years 1/3 of Senate is elected every 2 years Qualifications Be 30 years old Citizen for 9 years Reside in the state they represent Vacancies filled by special elections Vice President presides over senate Tries Impeachment proceedings
