Supporting Paragraph #1 If there were a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease, my grandmother would still be her old self. She could live at home with my grandpa, who misses her a lot. She could still visit me and meet her great-grandchildren. Instead, I have to visit her at the nursing home, where she looks at me blankly, as if to say, “Who are you?” If there was a cure for Alzheimer’s, I could have my grandma back.

Supporting Paragraph #2 My grandmother isn’t the only person with Alzheimer’s. Millions of other people in America also suffer from this disease. If there were a cure, they would all get better too. They would remember their families again and they would be able to take care of themselves again. They wouldn’t have to live in nursing homes away from their families. A cure for Alzheimer’s would help many people.

Supporting Paragraph #3 Lastly, if there were a cure for Alzheimer’s, no one would have to worry about getting the disease. Since both my grandmothers had Alzheimer’s, sometimes I am afraid that I might get it too one day too. That is a very scary thought. I bet a lot of other people are afraid of getting this disease too. Knowing there was a cure would make us all less scared.

My Conclusion Alzheimer’s Disease is a very sad disease that affects many, many people. It has even affected my own family. I really wish scientists could find a cure for this disease. If they did, the world would be a better place.
