Be On the Look Out! At the end of this presentation, you will be required to submit Eastern Transfer Competencies (ETC) to the Advising Center. This image will appear on slides that you will need to reference for those submissions. Once an advisor reviews your submission, we will reach out to you via Eastern email to provide your registration code. ETC
Logging on Eweb Access our homepage www1.easternct.edu Then click “Current Students” at the top.
Click Eweb
2. Then type in your Eastern ID and PIN 1. Click Login 2. Then type in your Eastern ID and PIN Note: Your Eastern ID is the 8 digit number sent to you in your acceptance packet. PIN: Default Eweb pin is your Date of Birth in MMDDYY format. If you have a problem please call the Help Desk at (860) 465- 4346.
If you wish to change your Major: Go to the Admissions tab or give the Admissions Office a call (860) 465-5286 Note: This option will only be available through early summer. If unavailable, please email your change of major request to admissions@easternct.edu

Transfer Equivalencies Purpose: See how your courses transferred to Eastern. Please contact Admissions if you are missing credits! If you have attended multiple institutions, your courses will show up separately.

LAC Requirements

Purpose of Degree Evaluation You will use this tool to choose courses for future semesters (you can see if requirements are met). This is also used to determine what you need to graduate. (It will say on the left hand side “Yes” or “No”)
How to run a Degree Evaluation 1. Click Student Services 2. Click Student Records
2. Click Submit for the Term you are admitted for Click Degree Evaluation
1. Click Generate New Evaluation (at the bottom of the page) 2. Then click Generate Request
Click Submit for Detailed Requirements On the left hand side you will see the word “Yes” if the requirement has been met and “No” if it has not been met.
Major Requirements
Foreign Language Requirement Eastern Requires at least 2 years of the same foreign language in high school, or 2+ semesters of the same language in college. If you believe you meet this requirement but it says “Not Met” please contact your high school for a final transcript.
Waivers Any student who enters Eastern with 60+ credits (and 27+ in Liberal Arts areas) are exempt from all T1 (Tier 1) courses except T1M (Mathematics) T1W (College Writing)
Waivers Students who transfer to Eastern with 15 or more credits will be exempt from completing the First Year Introduction (FYI). Students who transfer to Eastern with 60 or more credits will be exempt from completing the Tier I Health and Wellness (T1HW) requirement of the Liberal Arts Curriculum. All students, regardless of the courses transferred to Eastern, must complete at least two LAC Tier II courses and the Tier III Liberal Arts Independent Inquiry. The Tier II courses must be in separate categories
Appeal Form If you took a course at a previous institution that you believe should meet one of the LACs you may request an appeal using the online form (directions on next slide). If you took a course at a previous institution that you believe should meet one of your major requirements, you should contact your department chair directly.

Connect With Your Department A Faculty Advisor will be assigned to you within your first few weeks at Eastern. In the mean time, you should reach out to your Department Chair with any questions regarding your major.

Registration If your registration date allows, you should complete course selection as soon as you receive your registration PIN. To receive your registration PIN: Send your Eastern Transfer Competencies (ETC) to the Advising Center. This will include your course preferences. We will validate your classes and send your registration pin. Details at the end of this presentation will show you how to do so. Your faculty advisor will provide you with your PIN in future semesters.
Registration Dates
Course Look-up/ Registration 1. Click Student Services 2. Click Registration
1. Select Look-up Classes Today you will use the “Look-up Classes” option. Once you receive your pin you will use the “Register or Add/Drop” option. 2. Then Search by Term and click Submit
Choosing Classes 1. Type in the Subject Code & Course Number when looking up core requirements for your major. 2. Then click Class Search
A List of Courses Will Appear Once you have decided on a course, click the unmarked checkbox on the left hand side of your screen to register for the class. You will then click “Register” at the bottom of the page.
LAC Search Scroll through the Attribute Type list. Once you have found the Tier and category you are looking for, you may click Class Search. Example: If you needed to fulfill a T2CP requirement, you would select T2CP- Cultural Perspective. Any of the classes that appear after searching, will meet this LAC requirement.

LIBR 1000/2000 You will be registered for a 1 time, 1 hour, non-credit, mandatory Library workshop. Before the semester begins, this will be added to your schedule by the Registrar's Office.
Activate Your Eastern Email Eastern email is the University’s official means of communicating. It will be used to convey important information throughout your career at Eastern. Complete the survey of Eastern Transfer Competencies(includes your course preferences) LINK HERE An Eastern advisor will review your survey responses and send feedback along with your Registration Code. This will go to your Eastern email. Please note that we will put your survey in your GradesFirst record (our student information program).
