Patterns Sociologists find and focus on patterned behaviors. Ex: Teacher and student Social structure is what captures the attention of sociologists. They study the patterned interaction of people in social relationships
Group vs. Individual Behavior Emile Durkheim: helped develop the sociological perspective mixing of parts, to create a new whole (bronze ex.) something new is created when individuals come together
Why do people conform?
