Using the Present Perfect Tense Making Choices Using the Present Perfect Tense

Present Perfect The Present Perfect is used to join the past and the present. We’ve seen the Present Perfect used to describe actions that started in the past and continue into the present… I have lived in Hong Kong for 10 years. But we also use it to highlight actions that have already happened but are important to us now. I have lost my keys.

Bert and Ernie have a holiday… What are we going to do today? What are the choices? Let’s plan a boat trip! Where shall we go?
