Sound devices

Alliteration Repetition of the same sound at the beginning of words EX: Kangaroos eat cake and kick castles

Consonance Repetition of a consonant sound anywhere within words Ex: Penguins get aggravated and angry at green belugas.

Assonance Repetition of a vowel sound anywhere within words Ex: The eagle is a majestic creature.

Onomatopoeia Words that sound like what they say. Ex: click, splash, zip, pop, etc.

End Rhyme Words that rhyme at the end of lines. I like to rhyme I do it all the time

Internal rhyme Words that rhyme, but are not at the end of lines Ex: The jelly fish goes into hiding Then he glows for all to see.
