Topics What is Gateway FDR Configuration Gateway FDR indicators How to FDR Gateway NDE FDR Configuration First we review what the Gateway FDR setting status is, the visual FDR indication, how to FDR the Gateway. Lastly for this topic, the NDE lock with FW 2.04.17 that supports ON-LINE operation now has additional FDR setting we will discuss.
Gateway FDR – Factory Default Reset FDR sets the Gateway configuration back to “As Shipped “ RS-485 address 0 WAPM (Door) range 0-15 IP ZeroConfig Clears all LINKS RED LED on top There will be no RS/Ethernet LED blinks - FDR GW will NOT COMMUNICATE with the ACP until it is commissioned and named. In FDR mode there are never RS-485 LED blinks or Ethernet LED blinks FDR will NOT remove the Gateway from the ENGAGE Partner account. Only deleting by the account and FDR will releases the Gateway for others Same rule as NDE, delete the device from the account and FDR to De-commission As- arrived, or As shipped from the factory, the default settings for the Gateway are, RSI mode with setting, with RS-485 the default as address zero, and the door range is 0 -15 In IP mode the default setting is ZeroConfig with is the most automated Ethernet preset. The installer should always ask the facility network manager what the expected network configuration should be, ZeroConfig, DHCP or the detailed Static IP addresses - These values can be changed after commissioning by ENGAGE or with Access Control Software commands: but a successful FDR will return them back to the as-shipped values.
Gateway FDR status indicated by Solid RED LED There is no COM activity with FDR Mode, no COM LED blinks in the back of Gateway The very important visual indication is the RED LED on the Gateway cover, Solid RED is FDR Mode, Remember the Gateway could still be in a Partner Account if it was commissioned once and never deleted from the account The FDR will set the GWE back to as shipped and not LINKED so the Bluetooth will again advertise in the “+” ADD tab of the Mobile App.
Gateway FDR – Factory Default Reset From the Installation Instructions From the Installation Instructions, FDR puts I back to the original settings; but will not remove it from the prior ENGAGE Account. To remove a Gateway from a “Partner ENGAGE Account” or any ENGAGE account you must deleted it from the account and also FDR the device.
Gateway FDR – Factory Default Reset FDR erases the name given the Gateway in the device; but remember the Mobile device might still associate that old name with the device. Commissioning and renaming gets a new name in the Gateway and the Mobile device, un-LINKS the Gateway, clears setup data including name “in” GW As shipped GW FDR configuration settings are, RS-485 address 0, WAPM range 0 -15 IP mode – ZeroConfig
