Dog:https://www. google. com/trends/explore. q=dog Cat: https://www What other pet?

What about a comparison trend? Dog vs. Cat https://www.google.com/trends/explore?q=cat,dog

Student Activity Break up into pairs and search for two opposing ideas on Google trends (trends.google.com) Create a story about the data that you receive (worksheet from Code Studio). Display your trend and share your story. Discuss the information?  Allow class to offer additional ideas or draw different conclusions from the data.

What other information do you think Google has on you? Google is not the only site that stores information about how its site is being used (See what’s Trending on Twitter...websites like Youtube stores analytics of its visitors) Why do you think websites collect information about its visitors?  Give 3 reasons why they want it?  Think about what they can do with the information.
