WALT: Measure and calculate the perimeter of shapes. Look at the dust jacket on the book. Select a book and using the paper make a dust jacket for it. What measurements will you need to make? If you need to round measurements up to the nearest half cm and make a dust jacket, writing on the measurements of the length, breadth and total perimeter. Try to make another dust jacket for a smaller book. WALT: Measure and calculate the perimeter of shapes. In your books draw as many rectangles as you can with a perimeter of 48cm making sure you label the rectangle with the measurements. Then work out the area of each of your rectangles with a perimeter of 48cm.
