Infrastructure Readiness Training Agenda Welcome and Introductions Infrastructure Trial Procedures Creating and Starting a Test Session Logging in Guest Users Approving Guest Users Stopping the Trial Support

Infrastructure Readiness Training The technical material covered in this presentation is meant only for District regular schools and the few Charter schools that are housed in a District facility and are on our District network. The procedural material will be of help to all schools.

Infrastructure Trial - Purpose Simulation of test-day network utilization Identify any school or district issues Confirm that all testing computers can run the FSA software Practice run for school testing staff The Infrastructure Trial is not appropriate for student practice. Content-specific practice tests are available for students at http://fsassessments.org/students-and-families/practice-tests/. These Practice Tests are intended to familiarize students with the types of items that will make up the tests and with the tools that will be available to them in AIR’s Test Delivery System (TDS).

Infrastructure Trial – FSA Browser School Techs must ensure that the FSA Secure Browser has been installed on all testing computers. The package is available in LANDesk as shown here. It is also available via the Portal Manager. IT has pushed this out to all school computers BUT you must check.

FSA on Chromebooks http://l.sdpbc.net/8hqx8 This link is to very helpful videos on the use of Chromebooks. See the video on accessing FSA.

Infrastructure Trial Feedback We recommend placing a piece of paper next to each computer so that the student can make note of any problems they encountered. Have the student write down some identifying information for the computer (asset tag, position in room, etc.) At the end of trial, these can be collected and shared with the appropriate staff.
