Expectations & Procedures Miss Rockey Room 223 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9ltAgPnWhM&feature=youtube_gdata_playerClassroom

Headphones & Music Headphones and music are okay in my class, but here are the expectations… You may listen to music when you are working independently as long as you have headphones. You may not listen to music during a test/quiz. No one but you should be able to hear your music. If I am unable to get your attention when needed, you will lose the privilege for the rest of class.

Headphones & Music Cont. If I ask you to remove your headphones, they need to come all the way off/out. No one ear on, one ear off stuff. You have to be working. If you want to skip a song, that’s fine, but no constant scrolling. If you have trouble following any of these rules, you will lose your privilege until I can trust you to be responsible again. Listening to music is a privilege, not a right. If you want to continue having the privilege, you need to follow the expectations and be responsible.

Food & drink I understand the need to have a snack during the day, but here are the expectations… You need to ask for permission to eat in my class before you have a snack. I have to approve it before you can eat it. Eating in class is a privilege. If you don’t ask and I see you with food, you will get a notice and have to throw your food away. No junk food.

Food & Drink Cont. Throw away your garbage. You may drink water. No soda, energy drinks, etc. If you have trouble following any of these rules, you will not be allowed to eat in my class until I can trust you to be responsible again.

Hall Pass Procedures When you have been given permission to leave the classroom… Get one of your 6 passes for the quarter signed off. Take a pass from below the white board. Sign out on the white board with your name and time. Quickly go where you need to go, and return to class. Erase your name and time out from the board. Return the pass to its spot. Other circumstances… Use a sticky note to write a pass and get it signed.

Tardy passes If you come into class after the bell rings for any reason, you must have a pass. If you come to class late without a pass, I will send you down to the office to get one. When you enter the class, please hold up your pass for me to see, so that I know you have one. Please place your pass into the bucket on the desk. Quietly go to your seat.

Student File Cabinet Each student will have their own file. This is where you should be able to find any work you missed if you are absent. You can keep assignments in your file (daily goals, hall passes) so that you don’t lose them. The file cabinet is not your locker…only papers in your folder please. When graded assignments get handed back, they will be returned to your file. Hold onto graded assignments until the grading period is over to be safe.
