Rhine—starts in Alps runs north through Germany and the Netherlands and empties into the North Sea Danube—starts in southern Germany and flows east through Germany, Austria, several Central European countries before entering the Black Sea Thames—Runs from Central England out to the English Chanel. London sits at the mouth. (Pronounced TIMZ, like Marcus Thames who plays for the LA Dodgers.) Seine—Flows north from central France to the English Chanel. Paris is located on the Seine.
